Elgato Stream Deck XL+ — Two Weeks With the Dial Twins

Elgato’s flagship Stream Deck refresh adds two physical dials and a 32-key layout — the first Stream Deck that genuinely changes how you stream.

The two T-bar dials sit above the main key grid, configurable per-profile. Default mappings cover scene blending, mic gain, music ducking, chat scroll-back. After two weeks of muscle memory, the dials are the feature you instantly miss going back.

32-key XL+ grid feels overwhelming at first but you grow into it. We ended up with one column for scene presets, two for source toggles, one for OBS overlays, the bottom row for chat moderation. Displays are sharp enough for small custom icons.
