MSI 2026 has the strongest tournament field on paper since 2022. Power rankings before play-ins start.

Tier 1 is T1 and Gen.G — too close to call between them this cycle. T1 looks more polished mid-late game, Gen.G has more aggressive early-game identity. Both favored to make finals. Tier 2 is JDG, BLG and Top Esports out of LPL — three teams that would each be Tier 1 in any other region.

Tier 3 is G2 (LEC), Cloud9 (LCS), and CFO (LCP). Three regions, three legitimate dark-horse picks. Most interesting matchup is whichever LPL team draws T1 in the upper bracket.
