Pragmata Lifts Off April 16 — Capcom’s Lunar Puzzle-Shooter Finally Lands

By FragCircuit Desk · April 25, 2026

Capcom’s long-delayed sci-fi gamble Pragmata ships this week, capping a five-year wait with one of the strangest action games on the 2026 calendar.

After multiple postponements stretching back to a 2020 reveal, Pragmata finally arrives April 16 across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. The premise lands somewhere between a lunar survival shooter and a real-time hacking puzzler — you aim with the right stick while a small AI companion solves a node-drag puzzle layered over your target.

On PC, the game is an RE Engine showcase: DLSS 4 and FSR 3.1 from launch, ray-traced reflections on the lunar glass interiors, and remappable hacking inputs that feel meaningfully sharper on mouse than controller. The PC build is the version most worth watching for early-week impressions.

Capcom has not run a brand-new IP at this scale since Dragon’s Dogma in 2012. If Pragmata’s dual-input loop catches a critical mass of players, it becomes a sleeper. If it bounces, it is still the most ambitious original Capcom action game in over a decade.

The Circuit Take

Pragmata is the rare big-budget release that does not fit any existing genre lane. The combat-and-hack hybrid is genuinely new — the first hour either clicks or it does not, and reviews land with the launch patch.
